The Hilltown Family Center, the local Coordinated Family and Community Engagement program, located at 9 Russell Rd in Huntington, houses many of HCHC’s community programs and services, while offering an extensive list of resources for parents, caregivers, and families.
At the Family Center, we believe in strong families! This means that we help families be flexible and resilient. Our programs can help you establish strong social connections and give you concrete support in times of need. We recognize your strengths and understand that being a parent is part natural and part learned. We also help your children connect and relate to their world.
Hilltown Family Center offers:
- Parent/caregiver-child playgroups
- School readiness programs (Ready! for kindergarten)
- Family and community education and literacy development
- Read and Rise
- Nurturing Your Baby
- Ages and Stages developmental screenings
- Childbirth education
- Happiest Baby on the Block classes
- Newborn home visiting (including Brazleton Newborn Observations)
- Literacy programming and events
The Hilltown Family Center collaborates with local schools and libraries, the Appalachian Mountain Club, BHN Family Services, Seven Hills, and It Takes a Village, and is part of Hilltown Collaborative for Children and Families.

Programs are generously supported through grants administered by a Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Grant from the MA Department of Early Education and Care, The United Way of Hampshire and Franklin Counties, the United Way of Pioneer Valley, and through Community Development Block Grants.
